Him, that overcometh, I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, (the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God,) and my own new name. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth passed away, and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, descending from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be his people, and God himself, even their God, will be with them. read more.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be death no more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Tell me, you that are so desirous to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? where it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by a servant, and one by a free-woman? But he who was of the servant, was born according to the course of nature; whereas the son of the free-woman was by virtue of the promise. read more.
Which things are figurative; for these persons are emblems of the two covenants, the one from mount Sinai, bringing forth children unto bondage, which is Hagar: for this name Hagar, a rock, is expressive of mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to the present Jerusalem, which is in bondage with her children. But the Jerusalem above is represented by the free-woman, which is the mother of us all.

but ye are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the first-born who are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than Abel. read more.
See that ye reject not Him that speaketh; for if they escaped not, who rejected him that gave forth divine oracles on earth, much less shall we, if we turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven: whose voice then shook the earth; but now He hath promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven." Now this expression "yet once more" signifieth the removing of the things that are shaken, as of things which had been appointed only for a season, that those which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore since we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and holy fear:

Because ye are still carnal: for while there is among you envy and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk as men? For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whose means ye embraced the faith, even as the Lord gave success to each of them? read more.
I have planted, Apollos watered: but God gave the increase. So that neither he that planteth is any thing, nor he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase. And he that planteth, and he that watereth, are as one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are fellow-laborers, the servants of God: and ye are the husbandry of God, ye are the building of God.
