For mine eyes behold all their ways, and they cannot be hid from my face; neither can their wicked deeds be kept close out of my sight.

"If I did sin, thou haddest an eye unto me, and shalt not declare me innocent because of mine offense.

"For thou hast numbered all my goings, yet be not thou too extreme upon my sins.

Yea, and that so sore, that though thou washest thee with Nitre and makest thyself to savour with that sweet smelling herb of Borith: yet in my sight thou art stained with thy wickedness, sayeth the LORD thy God.

They consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. They go about with their own inventions, but I see them well enough.

"For thou hast numbered all my goings, yet be not thou too extreme upon my sins.

Thou shalt make room enough under me for to go, that my footsteps shall not slide. {TYNDALE: And thou madest me space to walk in, that my feet should not stumble.}

So that if thou goest therein, there shall no straitness hinder thee: and when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall.
