But He saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. And there is hope for the weak, and injustice shuts her mouth. Behold, blessed is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He makes sore, and binds up; He wounds, and His hands make whole. He will deliver you in six troubles; yea, in seven no evil shall touch you. In famine He shall redeem you from death; and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the whip of the tongue; neither shall you be afraid of robbery when it comes. So Jehovah scattered them abroad from that place upon the face of all the earth. And they quit building the city.
They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them; they who are makers of idols shall go into disgrace together.
who brings to nothing the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns the wise backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;

And their inhabitants were short of hand; dismayed and ashamed. They were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, even grain blasted before it has risen.

But Jehovah is with me like a mighty, awesome one. Therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not overcome me. They shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not be blessed. Their everlasting shame shall never be forgotten.
