The disciples therefore said to him, Lord, if he hath fallen asleep, he will recover. But Jesus had spoken of his death; but they thought that he spoke of the taking of rest in sleep. Then therefore Jesus said to them plainly: Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there; that ye may believe; but let us go to him. Then said Thomas, who was called Didymus, to his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
