Riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments, and taking a towel, girded himself. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, going to the chief priests, Said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him to you? And they bargained with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Then Judas who had betrayed him, seeing that he was condemned, repenting himself, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned, in betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it. And having thrown down the pieces of silver in the temple, he withdrew and went and hanged himself.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him unto them. And hearing it they were glad, and promised to give him mony. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

And while he was yet speaking, lo Judas one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him, had given them a signal, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, is he; seize him. And forthwith coming to Jesus, he said, Hail, Master, and kissed him. read more.
