Then Judas who had betrayed him, seeing that he was condemned, repenting himself, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned, in betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it. And having thrown down the pieces of silver in the temple, he withdrew and went and hanged himself.


And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him unto them. And hearing it they were glad, and promised to give him mony. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.


Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity, and falling down on his face, he burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.

And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it. And having thrown down the pieces of silver in the temple, he withdrew and went and hanged himself.


This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the purse, and bare what was put therein.


And while they were at supper (the devil having now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon,

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, going to the chief priests, Said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him to you? And they bargained with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

And led him away to Annas first (for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.)

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him unto them. And hearing it they were glad, and promised to give him mony. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Then entered Satan into Judas, surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went and talked with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him to them. And they were glad and agreed to give him money. read more.
And he promised and sought opportunity to betray him to them, in the absence of the multitude.

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him. And Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of man goeth as it was determined; but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed. And they inquired among themselves, Which of them it was, that would do this?

And immediately, while ye yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude, with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders. Now he that betrayed him had given them a signal, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, is he: seize and lead him away safely. And when he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, Master!

Rise; let us be going: behold he that betrayeth me is at hand. And while he was yet speaking, lo Judas one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him, had given them a signal, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, is he; seize him. read more.
And forthwith coming to Jesus, he said, Hail, Master, and kissed him. And Jesus said to him, Friend, Wherefore art thou come? Then came they and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

And after the sop, then Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus to him, What thou dost, do quickly. Now none at the table knew, why he said this to him. But some thought, as Judas had the purse, that Jesus had said to him, Buy what we have need of against the feast, or, Give something to the poor. read more.

Judas then having received a troop of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns, and torches, and arms.
