Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endures forever:
Though the LORD be high, yet has he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knows from afar.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?
For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
He rose from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
Then said he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

And you are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high.
