Ye are witnesses of these things. And I send forth upon you that which hath been promised by my Father; but do ye tarry in the city, until ye are endued with power from on high.

When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first day of the week, and the doors where the disciples were had been shut for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be to you! And having said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord. Then he said to them again, Peace be to you!
