But he answered them, My Father is working up to this time, and I work. On this account the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath, but also said that God was his own Father, making himself equal with God. Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing; for whatever He doeth, these things the Son also doeth in like manner; read more.
for the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things which he himself doeth; and greater works than these will he show him, so that ye will wonder.

Jesus therefore said to them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me will not hunger; and he that believeth in me will never thirst. But I said to you, that ye have even seen, and do not believe. All that the Father giveth me will come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out; read more.

Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but that the works of God might be made manifest in him. We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night is coming, when no one can work.

Jesus answered and said to him, If any one loveth me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Fathers who sent me. These things have I spoken to you, while abiding with you; read more.
but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit which the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things which I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world giveth, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. Ye heard me say to you, I am going away, and am coming again to you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced that I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it hath come to pass, that when it hath come to pass ye may believe. I shall not talk much more with you. For the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing in me. But [this must be] that the world may know that I love the Father, and that as the Father gave me commandment so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth. As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world. And in their behalf I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth. Yet not for these alone do I pray, but also for those who believe in me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that thou didst send me. And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father! and yet the world knew thee not! but I knew thee, and these knew that thou didst send me. And I made known to them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

On this account the Father loveth me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit he cleanseth, that it may bear more fruit. Ye are clean already, by reason of the word which I have spoken to you. read more.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, if it abide not in the vine, so neither can ye, unless ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit; for apart from me ye can do nothing. If any one abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather it, and cast it into the fire, and it is burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever ye will, and it shall be done for you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and ye will become my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love.

While he was yet speaking, lo! a bright cloud overshadowed them; and lo! a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; hear him." Verse Concepts
