And he made him no answer, not even to one word; so that the governor greatly wondered.
And they all spoke in his praise, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded from his mouth; and they said, Is not this Josephs son?
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching. For he taught them as having authority, and not as their scribes.
And having come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and the miracles?
And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue. And most people when they heard him were astonished, saying, Whence hath this man these things? And what is the wisdom which is given him? And how is it that such miracles are wrought by his hands?
And they were astonished at his teaching; for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

And they were all amazed, so that they questioned each other, saying, What is this? New teaching with authority; even the unclean spirits doth he command, and they obey him!

The Jews therefore marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
And Jesus said to them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and to God the things that are Gods. And they marveled at him exceedingly.
And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and marveling at his answer, they held their peace.
And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
And the disciples, hearing this, were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
And they were beyond measure astonished, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answering again saith to them, Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him; because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
And he was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests, and the scribes, and the leading men of the people sought to destroy him.
And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said to them, Have ye anything here to eat?
for the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things which he himself doeth; and greater works than these will he show him, so that ye will wonder.
when he shall come in that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all who believed; for our testimony to you was believed.
