And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.


And it happened when he spoke of the ark of God, he fell backward off the seat, by the side of the gate. And his neck broke, and he died, for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.


And Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and commander over them. And Jephthah uttered all his words before Jehovah in Mizpeh.

But when the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, Jehovah raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a left-handed man. And the sons of Israel sent a present to Eglon the king of Moab by him.


And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem, to his mother's brothers. And he talked with them and with all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,


And when the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, Jehovah raised up a deliverer to the sons of Israel, who delivered them, Othniel, the son of Caleb's younger brother Kenaz.


And she lived under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim. And the sons of Israel came up to her for judgment.




For Jehovah loves judgment and does not forsake His saints; they are kept forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you ruined your land and killed your people; the seed of evildoers shall never be famous.

Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

If his sons are multiplied, the sword is for them; and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

Their fruit shall You destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the sons of men.

But draw near here, sons of the sorceress, seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
