And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the military cloak and put his [own] clothes on him, and led him away in order to crucify [him]. And [as they] were going out, they found a man of Cyrene {named} Simon. They forced this man to carry his cross. And [when they] came to a place called Golgotha (which {means Place of a Skull}), read more.
they gave him wine mixed with gall to drink, and [when he] tasted [it] he did not want to drink [it].

And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him, and they led him out so that they could crucify him. And they forced a certain man who was passing by, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus), who was coming from the country, to carry his cross. And they brought him to the place Golgotha (which is translated "Place of a Skull"). read more.
And they attempted to give him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.

And as they led him away, they seized Simon, a certain [man] of Cyrene, who was coming from the country, [and] placed the cross on him, to carry [it] behind Jesus. And a great crowd of the people were following him, and of women who were mourning and lamenting him. But turning to them, Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children! read more.
For behold, days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed [are] the barren, and the wombs that did not give birth, and [the] breasts that did not nurse!' Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and to the hills, 'Cover us!' For if they do these [things] {when the wood is green}, what will happen {when it is dry}?" And two other criminals were also led away to be executed with him.

So then he handed him over to them in order that he could be crucified. and carrying for himself the cross, he went out to the [place] called The Place of a Skull (which is called Golgotha in Aramaic),
