After that Jesus went about into Galilee, and would not go about in Jewry, for the Jews sought to kill him.

I know that ye are Abraham's seed: but ye seek means to kill me because my sayings have no place in you.

Again they went about to take him, but he escaped out of their hands,

Is not this that carpenter: Mary's son, the brother of James, and Joseph and of Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?" And they were offended by the reason of him.

And as many as were in the synagogue when they heard that, were filled with wrath and rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him even unto the edge of the hill, whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong.

And here is a mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth:

and left Nazareth, and went and dwelt in Capernaum, which is a city upon the sea in the coasts of Zebulun and Naphtali: to fulfill that which was spoken by Isaiah the Prophet, saying, "The land of Zebulun and Naphtali, the way of the sea beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; read more.
the people which sat in darkness saw great light and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light has begun to shine."

And he came to Nazareth where he was nursed, and as his custom was, went into the synagogue on the Sabbath days, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place, where it was written, "The spirit of the Lord upon me, because he hath anointed me; To preach the gospel to the poor he hath sent me; And to heal which are broken hearted: To preach deliverance to the captive; And sight to the blind; And freely to set at liberty them that are bruised; read more.
And to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." And he closed the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all that were in the synagogue, were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, "This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." And all they bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words, which proceeded out of his mouth, and said, "Is not this Joseph's son?" And he said unto them, "Ye may very well say unto me this proverb. 'Physician, heal thyself. Whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do the same here likewise in thine own country.'" And he said, "Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you of a truth, Many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when heaven was shut three years and six months, when great famishment was throughout all the land; And unto none of them was Elijah sent, save into Zarephath besides Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and yet none of them was healed, saving Naaman of Syria." And as many as were in the synagogue when they heard that, were filled with wrath and rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him even unto the edge of the hill, whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong.
