In the morning as he came back to the city he felt hungry, and noticing a fig tree by the roadside he went up to it, but found nothing on it except leaves. When the disciples saw this they marvelled. "How did the fig tree wither up in an instant?" they said. Jesus answered, "I tell you truly, if you have faith, if you have no doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree but even if you say to this hill, 'Take and throw yourself into the sea,' it will be done. All that ever you ask in prayer you shall have, if you believe."

Then he said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you after this!" The disciples heard him say it.

Now as they passed in the morning they noticed the fig tree had withered to the root. Then Peter remembered. "Rabbi," he said, "there is the fig tree you cursed, all withered!" Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God! read more.
I tell you truly, whoever says to this hill, 'Take and throw yourself into the sea,' and has not a doubt in his mind but believes that what he says will happen, he will have it done. So I tell you, whatever you pray for and ask, believe you have got it and you shall have it.
