Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

Now after two days he departed from there, and went into Galilee. For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet has no honor in his own country. Then when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.read more.

Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them who were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Now if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord, as I also do.

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. If any do inquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you: or if our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. Therefore show to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed.

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

And some days later Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought it not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.read more.
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being commended by the brethren unto the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

But now having no more place of work in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you; Whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way there by you, if first I am somewhat refreshed with your company. But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.read more.
For it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are at Jerusalem. It has pleased them greatly; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in material things. But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.

Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

For yourselves, brethren, know our visit unto you, that it was not in vain:

When I shall send Artemas unto you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

And from there, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as the Appii Forum, and The Three Taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.

Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chains: But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

Do your diligence to come shortly unto me: For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.read more.
And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when you come, bring with you, and the books, but especially the parchments.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them who suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
