And certain of those who stood there said to them, What are you doing, untying the colt? And they said to them even as Jesus had commanded. And they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and they threw their garments on it. And He sat on it. And many spread their garments in the way, and others cut down branches off the trees and scattered them in the way. And those going before, and those following, cried out, saying, Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David, who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! And Jesus entered into Jerusalem and into the temple. And when He had looked around on all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

And He answered and said to them, I tell you that if these should be silent, the stones would cry out. And as He drew near, He beheld the city and wept over it, saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come on you that your enemies will raise up a rampart to you, and will surround you, and will keep you in on every side. And they will tear you down, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone on a stone because you did not know the time of your visitation.
