Yet there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish, as in the former time. He degraded the land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, so afterwards He will glorify the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the nations.

who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into the heaven? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into Heaven, will come in the way you have seen Him going into Heaven.

But when he heard that Archelaus reigned in Judea in his father Herod's place, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee.

Then these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we want to see Jesus.

Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desires. Then King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

And the crowd said, This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth of Galilee.

But after I have risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

And they set apart Kadesh in Galilee, in the hills of Naphtali; and Shechem in the hills of Ephraim; and Kirjath-arba (it is Hebron) in the hills of Judah.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And a report went out throughout all the neighborhood concerning Him.

And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean.

Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, Does the Christ come out of Galilee?


And in the fifteenth year of the government of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and the Trachonitus country, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene--

And a convenient day came, when Herod made a supper to great men on his birthday, and to the chiliarchs, and to the first ones of Galilee.

And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean. And knowing that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time.

For truly, against Your holy child Jesus, whom You have anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and the people of Israel, were gathered together

And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean. And knowing that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time. And seeing Jesus, Herod greatly rejoiced, for he had desired to see Him for a long time, because he had heard many things about Him. And he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. read more.
And he questioned Him in many words, but He answered him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. And humiliating Him with his guardsmen, and mocking Him by putting luxurious clothing around Him, Herod sent Him again to Pilate. And that same day Pilate and Herod became friends with one another, for before they were at enmity between themselves.

no, nor even Herod, for I sent you to him, and lo, nothing worthy of death has been done by Him.


And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And they bound Jesus and led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate.

And rising up, all the multitude of them led Him before Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, saying, We have found this one perverting the nation and forbidding them to give tribute to Caesar, saying himself to be a king, Christ. And Pilate asked Him, saying, Are you the king of the Jews? And He answered him and said, You say it. read more.
And Pilate said to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place. And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean. And knowing that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time.

Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the praetorium. And it was early. And they did not go into the praetorium, that they should not be defiled, and that they might eat the Passover. Then Pilate went out to them and said, What charge do you bring against this man?


And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean. And knowing that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time. And seeing Jesus, Herod greatly rejoiced, for he had desired to see Him for a long time, because he had heard many things about Him. And he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. read more.

The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying to Him, Go out and depart from here, for Herod will kill you. And He said to them, You go and tell that fox, Behold, today and tomorrow, I cast out demons and I complete cures, and the third day I will be finished.

And hearing Galilee, Pilate asked if the man is a Galilean. And knowing that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time. And seeing Jesus, Herod greatly rejoiced, for he had desired to see Him for a long time, because he had heard many things about Him. And he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. read more.

And behold, having examined Him before you, I have found no fault in this Man regarding those things of which you accuse Him; no, nor even Herod, for I sent you to him, and lo, nothing worthy of death has been done by Him.
