At length they came to Jericho, and as he was leaving Jericho, accompanied by his disciples, and a great number of people, a blind man called Bartimeus sat begging in the high-way.

Afterwards Jesus went to Bethsaida, where they presented to him a blind man, whom they entreated Jesus to touch.

As Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, son of David, have mercy on us.

Then they brought to him a demoniac, who was both blind and dumb: and he cured him so effectually, that he recovered both his speech and his sight;

and there were two blind men sitting by the way-side, who hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, "have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David."

Then the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them:

at that very time, he cured several of their diseases and distempers, dispossessing evil spirits, and restoring sight to many that were blind.

As Jesus passed by, he saw a man that was born blind.

and they had their sight: but Jesus gave them a strict charge, saying, take care not to let any man know it:

then he gave them this answer, go, and tell John what you have seen, and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the gospel is proclaim'd to the poor.


insomuch that the people wondred when they perceived the dumb to speak, the maimed to be heal'd, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.


Then the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them: but when the chief priests and Scribes saw the wonders that he did, and the young people crying in the temple, "Hosanna to the son of David;" they were full of indignation.
