And going a little farther, He prostrated himself, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt. And coming to the disciples, he findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, what! could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. And going away again, the second time He prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass from me, unless I drink it, thy will be done. And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. And He left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, to the same effect. Then He cometh to his disciples and saith, Are ye sleeping still and taking your rest? behold, the hour is come, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go, see the traitor is at hand.

And going a little farther, He prostrated Himself, and prayed, if it were possible, that this hour might pass from Him. And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to Thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not what I will, but what thou wilt. And He cometh and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, Simon, art thou sleeping? couldst thou not watch one hour? Watch, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the body is weak. And He went away again, and prayed, after the same manner. And when He returned, He found them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they knew not what to say to Him. And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Are ye sleeping still and taking your rest? It is enough, the hour is come: behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go; see the traitor is at hand.

And He came out and went, as He used to do, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed Him. And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And when He was withdrawn from them about a stone's-cast, He kneeled down and prayed saying, read more.
Father, if thou art willing take away this cup from me---nevertheless, not my will but thine be done. And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven strengthening Him. And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was like clotted blood falling down upon the ground. And when He rose up from prayer, He came to his disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow; and He said to them, Why do ye sleep? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.

Now upon the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, came the disciples to Jesus, saying, where wouldest thou have us make preparation for thee to eat the passover? And He said, Go into the city, to such a man, and tell him, The master saith, my time is near, I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples: and the disciples did as Jesus ordered them, and prepared the passover. read more.
And when the evening was come, He sat down with the twelve: and as they were eating, He said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me. And they were exceedingly grieved, and said to Him, every one of them, Lord, is it I? and He answered, he that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, even he will betray me. The Son of man is going indeed as it is written concerning Him: but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed; it had been good for him, if that man had never been born. And Judas, who betrayed Him, answered and said, Master, is it I? and He said unto him, \i It is. Now as they were at table, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body: and He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it: for this is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many for the remission of sins: but I tell you, that from henceforth I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.

And on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the paschal lamb, his disciples said to Him, Where wouldst thou have us go and make preparation for thee to eat of the paschal lamb? And He sendeth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go into the city, and there will meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him, and where he goes in, say to the man of the house, The master inquireth, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples? read more.
And he will shew you a large upper room ready prepared, there make preparation for us. And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found every thing as He told them; and so prepared the passover. And in the evening He cometh with the rest of the twelve. And when they were sat down and eating together, Jesus said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me, who is now eating with me. And they were grieved, and said to Him one by one, Is it I? Is it I? And He said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that is now dipping with me in the dish. And He said unto them, This is an emblem of my blood the seal of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many: and I assure you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.

The day of unleavened bread being come, on which the paschal-lamb was to be slain, Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat of it. And they said unto Him, Where wouldst thou have us prepare it? read more.

And he will shew you a large upper room set out; there make it ready. And they went and found as He had told them; and prepared the passover. And when the hour was come, He sat down and the twelve apostles with Him. And He said unto them, I have earnestly desired to eat of this passover with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God. And taking the cup He gave thanks and said, Take this and distribute it among yourselves. For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come. And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me: as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.
