Jesus answered him: It is written, man shall not live by bread alone. (Deuteronomy 8:3) He led him up to a high place and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Then the devil said: I will give all this authority and glory to you, for it has been turned over to me. I may give it to whomever I will. If you will worship me it will all be yours.
