Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked off unto the recompence of reward.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will cleave to the one and neglect the other.

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or he will cleave to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness, that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go thro' the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. But Oesus looking upon them, said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

And Jesus looking round said to his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God? And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answering again saith to them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdom of God? Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy:

Abraham saith to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham; but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent. And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded tho' one rose from the dead.

But Peter said to him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought to purchase the gift of God with money.

Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate, Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

For the love of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting, have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

And one out of the croud said to him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. But he said to him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And he said to them, Take heed and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
