You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I tell you, Love your enemies, and pray for those that persecute you; that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and rains on the just and unjust. read more.
For if you love those that love you, what reward have you? Do not the publicans the same? And if you salute your brothers only, what do you do more than [others]? Do not the gentiles also do the same? Be therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
