Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; and you shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

The bellows blow fiercely, the lead is consumed by the fire; the smelter refines in vain: for the wicked are not removed. Rejected silver shall men call them, because the LORD has rejected them.
