Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear Jehovah, and depart from evil: it shall be health for thy navel, and moisture for thy bones. Honour Jehovah with thy substance, and with the first-fruits of all thine increase; so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

The father of a righteous man shall greatly rejoice, and he that begetteth a wise son shall have joy of him: let thy father and thy mother have joy, and let her that bore thee rejoice.



Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of the heavens; and whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name, receives me.

But Jesus seeing it, was indignant, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me; forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. When the heavens are shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, because thou hast afflicted them; read more.

Who is like unto thee, Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like unto thee, glorifying thyself in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou by thy mercy hast led forth the people that thou hast redeemed; Thou hast guided them by thy strength unto the abode of thy holiness.

Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way: The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.
