So rejoice, O sons of Zion, And be glad in the LORD your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication And He has poured down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before.

Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.


For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";

then he said to them, "This is what the LORD meant: Tomorrow is a sabbath observance, a holy sabbath to the LORD Bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over put aside to be kept until morning."

Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

"For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."

At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat.
