And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while." For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they went away in the boat to a lonely place by themselves.
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them."
And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."
"Will any one of you, who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep, say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'? Will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare my supper, and gird yourself and serve me, till I eat and drink; and afterward you shall eat and drink'?
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Be careful, then, how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Besides, they learn to be idle, going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.
For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, not doing any work at all, but acting like busybodies.
so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
And the ones that fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.
Not many days after, the younger son gathered together all he had and took his journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in loose living.
You have lived on the earth in luxury and in pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
