The point is this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give just as he has purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall; so there will be an entrance richly provided for you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
