Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee unto you to hide me.
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in you.
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep your precepts.
[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Behold, they bellow out with their mouths: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, does hear? But you, O LORD, shall laugh at them; you shall have all the nations in derision. Because of your strength will I wait upon you: for God is my defense.
