I was in spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice like that of a trumpet, saying: What you see, write in a book, and send to the seven churches; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me: and having turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks, read more.

Write, therefore, the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and those which shall be here after; the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candle sticks are the seven churches.

And the armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses; and they were clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goes a sharp, two-edged sword, that with it he may smite the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and he treads the wine-press of the fiercest wrath of God, the Almighty. And he has, on his raiment and on his thigh, a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven. Come, gather yourselves to the great supper of God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of officers, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all, both freemen and servants, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, assembled together to make war with him that sat on the horse, and with his army. And the beast was taken, and the false prophet that was with him, who did signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brim stone. And the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat on the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos, write: These things says he that has the sharp, two-edged sword; I know your works, and where you dwell, even where the throne of Satan is: and yet you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days in which Antipas was my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. Yet I have a few things against you, that you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to practice lewdness. read more.
So, also, you have those who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitanes. Repent, therefore; if not, I will come to you quickly, and I will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
