The king by judgment establishes the land, but he that receives gifts shall overthrow it.
The king that judges the poor with truth, his throne shall be established for ever.
O house of David, thus hath the LORD said: Execute judgment early and deliver him that is oppressed out of the hand of the oppressor lest my fury go forth like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it because of the evil of your doings.
It is the glory of God to conceal the word, but the honour of kings is to search out the word.
Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness. Do not praise thyself in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of great men;
By long forbearing a prince is persuaded, and a soft tongue breaks the bones.
