Thematic Bible: Sometimes attributed to God

Thematic Bible

How long, O LORD, will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, "Violence!" Yet You do not save.

"The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power.

"Why do the wicked still live, Continue on, also become very powerful?

For I have been stricken all day long And chastened every morning.

I have seen everything during my lifetime of futility; there is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his wickedness.

It is the same for all There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers a sacrifice and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as the swearer is, so is the one who is afraid to swear.

Righteous are You, O LORD, that I would plead my case with You; Indeed I would discuss matters of justice with You: Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?

"Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not right ' Hear now, O house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

saying, 'These last men have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorching heat of the day.'

What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!
