They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

And when the child was grown, on a certain day, he went out to his father to the reapers. And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.



Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

I went mourning but not in the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.


For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withers the grass, and its flower falls, and the beauty of the appearance of it perishes: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.


Look not upon me, because I am dark, because the sun has darkened me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept.


And with the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and with the precious things put forth by the moon,


And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun grew hot, it melted.
