Man that is in honor, and understands not, is like the beasts that perish.

Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the gain from it is better than the gain from silver, and the profit thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her.read more.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Why is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he has no heart for it?

There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
