But Peter stood without near the door. Then the other disciple, who was acquainted with the chief priest, went out and spoke to the door-keeper, and brought Peter in. Then the maid-servant who kept the door said to Peter: Are you not also one of the disciples of this man? He said: I am not.
But Peter was sitting without in the court; and a maid servant came to him, and said: You also were with Jesus of Galilee.
And when he knocked at the door of the entrance, a maidservant, named Rhoda, came to listen. And recognizing Peter's voice, she did not open the entrance for joy, but ran in and told that Peter was standing before the entrance.
