They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.


Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.


And thou, when thou art made desolate, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with scarlet, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou enlargest thine eyes with paint, in vain dost thou make thyself fair; thy lovers despise thee, they seek thy life.


And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.
