12 Bible Verses about Advice, Rejecting God's Advice

They became rash. They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

because they rebelled against the words of God and condemned the counsel of the most High:

Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

I know that thou canst do every thing and that there is no thought hidden from thee. Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore, I have denounced that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are those who testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

After this, many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him.

Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with freedom, said, It was necessary indeed that the word of God should first have been spoken to you; but seeing ye put it from you and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

And Samuel said, Does the LORD have as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in hearing the voice of the LORD? Behold, to hear is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is the sin of witchcraft, and to break the word of the Lord is iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected thee from being king.
