The day following Jesus desired to go forth into Galilee and found Philip and said unto him, Follow me.
This he spoke, signifying by what death he should clarify God. And when he had spoken this, he said unto him, Follow me.
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be unanimous among yourselves according to Christ Jesus,
In other words, that each one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters, and even his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
Then Jesus said unto his disciples, If anyone will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
And calling the multitude unto him with his disciples, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
And he said to them all, If anyone will come after me, let them deny themself and take up their cross daily and follow me.
He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If anyone serves me, let them follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also; the one that serves me, will my Father honour.
He that finds his life shall lose it, and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
Whosoever shall seek to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall cause it to live.
Jesus said unto him, If thou desire to be perfect, go and sell what thou hast and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me.
Then Jesus beholding him loved him and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell all that thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross , and follow me taking up thy stake (if thy desire is to be perfect).
Now when Jesus heard this, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.
For which of you intending to build a tower does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has sufficient to finish it? Lest perhaps after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.read more.
Or what king going to make war against another king does not sit down first and consult whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an embassy and desires conditions of peace. So likewise, any one of you that does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple.
Because for this were ye called: for the Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.
And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee, but let me first go bid farewell those who are at home at my house.
And straightway he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, they went after him.
One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, brother of Simon Peter.
Nevertheless, even among the princes many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;

Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye shall be my disciples indeed;
If ye love me, keep my commandments;
Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
If any man does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema. Our Lord has come.
Slaves, be obedient to those that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as unto the Christ, not to be seen as only pleasing men, but as the slaves of the Christ, doing the will of God from within,
and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he has commanded us. And he that keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And in this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.
These are those who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These are redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
