Philippians 3:13-14

1 Kings 3:10-14

2 Chronicles 1:11-12

Philippians 1:15-18

Some are preaching the Messiah because of jealousy and dissension, while others do so because of their good will. The latter are motivated by love, because they know that I have been appointed to defend the gospel. The former proclaim the Messiah because they are selfishly ambitious and insincere, thinking that they will stir up trouble for me during my imprisonment.read more.
But so what? Just this that in every way, whether by false or true motives, the Messiah is being proclaimed. Because of this, I rejoice and will continue to rejoice.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

You know that in a race all the runners run but only one wins the prize, don't you? You must run in such a way that you may be victorious. Everyone who enters an athletic contest practices self-control in everything. They do it to win a wreath that withers away, but we run to win a prize that never fades. No, I keep on disciplining my body, making it serve me so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified.

Hebrews 10:35-36

So don't lose your confidence, since it holds a great reward for you. For you need endurance, so that after you have done God's will you can receive what he has promised.
