And he came a little nearer, and fell on his face, praying and saying, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee! take away this cup from me. But not what I will, but what thou wilt.
saying, Father, if thou art willing to remove this cup from meyet not my will, but thine be done!
Jesus saith to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Then said I, Lo, I have comein the volume of the book it is written of meto do thy will, O God."
But he said to them, I must publish the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; because for this I was sent forth.
And he saith to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighboring towns, that I may preach there also; for, for this I came forth.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to preach glad tidings to the poor; he hath sent me to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
And Jesus, going from thence, withdrew to the parts of Tyre and Sidon. And, lo! a woman of Canaan came out from those borders, and cried out, saying, Have compassion on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is grievously afflicted with a demon. But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying Send her away, for she is crying out after us.read more.
But he answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then she came and fell down before him, saying, Lord, help me! But he answering said, It is not allowable to take the childrens bread, and throw it to the little dogs. And she said, Yea, Lord; for the little dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from the table of their masters. Then Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith; be it done to thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was cured from that hour.
And rising up, he departed thence into the borders of Tyre; and entering into a house, he desired that no one should know it; but he could not escape notice. But a woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, immediately hearing of him, came in, and fell at his feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast out the demon from her daughter.read more.
And he said to her, Let the children be filled first; for it is not well to take the childrens bread and throw it to the little dogs. But she answered, and saith to him, Yea, Lord; even the little dogs under the table eat of the childrens crumbs. And he said to her, For this saying go thy way; the demon hath gone out of thy daughter. And going away to her house, she found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out.
I say to you, that in like manner there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninetynine righteous men who have no need of repentance.
Thus it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
I say to you, that thus there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do;
And he said to them, Go, tell that fox, Lo! I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I make an end.

Wherefore we also strive that, whether at home or absent, we may be approved by him.

Nay more, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ,
And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send.
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, while becoming like him in his death,
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, both now and for ever.

And lo! a certain lawyer stood up to try him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? And he said to him, What is written in the Law? How readest thou? And he answering said "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself."read more.

but always earnestly desirous to preach it in this manner,not where Christ had been named, that I might not build on anothers foundation,
For in preaching the gospel, I have nothing to glory in; for I am under a necessity to do so; yea, woe is to me, if I preach not the gospel!
preach the word, be urgent in season, out of season, confute, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching.
till we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a fullgrown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
For he determined beforehand that those whom he foreknew should be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
But we all with unveiled face beholding in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.
Having then these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all pollution of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
After these things I saw, and lo! a great multitude, which no one could number, out of every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands. And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb.
For this is the will of my Father, that every one who looketh on the Son and believeth in him, shall have everlasting life; and I will raise him up in the last day.
Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened; inasmuch as we do not desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now he that hath prepared us for this very thing is God; who also gave to us the Spirit as the pledge.
then we who are living, we who are left, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord.
Beloved, now are we children of God, and it hath not yet been manifested what we shall be. We know that, when it shall be manifested, we shall be like him; because we shall see him as he is.
In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. For I go away to prepare a place for you; and when I have gone away and prepared a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, ye also may be.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day.
