[A man] would think the deep to be hoary. Upon earth there is not his like who is made without fear. He beholds everything that is high. He is king over all the sons of pride.
Their poison is like the poison of a serpent, like the deaf adder that stops her ear,
But wild beasts of the desert shall lay there, and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures. And ostriches shall dwell there, and wild goats shall dance there. And wolves shall cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. And her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool. But my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation to all generations.
