And I saw an angel standing on the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come, assemble yourselves to the great supper of God, that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of chiliarchs and the flesh of mighty [men] and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all, both free-men and servants and both small and great.

And the rest were killed with the sword of him that sits on the horse, which proceeded out of his mouth, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil goes about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour;

and his tail drew a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them on the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear [a child], that when she had borne he might devour her son.
