And all in the synagogue hearing these things, were filled with fury, And rising up, thrust him out of the city, and brought him to the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong. But he passing thro' the midst of them, went away.

And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Then they cried with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord, And casting him out of the city, stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man, whose name was Saul.

And the next sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together, to hear the word of God.

Then Paul standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that ye are greatly addicted to the worship of invisible powers.

And sending to Ephesus from Miletus, he called thither the elders of the church. And when they were come to him, he said to them, Ye know in what manner I have conversed among you, all the time from the first day I came into Asia,

And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

After this I saw, and behold a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands.
