And fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

I have spoken these things to you so that you might have peace in Me. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.

Lo, children are the inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is a reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of the young. Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they be discouraged.

Do not withhold correction from a boy, for if you beat him with the rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with the rod, and shall deliver his soul from hell.

My son, do not despise the chastening of Jehovah; nor be weary with His correction; for whom Jehovah loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

Listen to your father who sired you, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
