You shall rise up before the gray head and honor the face of the old man, and fear your God. I am Jehovah.
Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.
The young men saw me and hid themselves; and the aged arose and stood up.
The glory of young men is their strength; and the beauty of old men is the gray head.

For God commanded, saying, "Honor your father and mother"; and, "He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him die by death."
For Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother." And, "Whoever curses father or mother, let him die the death."
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.
And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and you are very old; therefore I was afraid, and dared not show you my opinion. I said, Days should speak, and the multitude of years should teach wisdom.
And King Rehoboam talked with the old men who had stood before Solomon his father while he still lived, and said, How do you advise to return a word to this people? And they spoke to him, saying, If you will be a servant to this people today, and will serve them and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever. But he left the counsel of the old men which they had advised him, and talked with the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him.
And King Rehoboam consulted with the old men who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What advice do you give me to return answer to this people? And they spoke to him saying, If you are kind to this people and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be your servants forever. But he departed from the advice which the old men gave him and listened to the young men who were brought up with him, who stood before him.
With us are both the gray-headed and aged, mightier than your father as to days.
And now when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not leave me; until I have declared Your strength to this generation, and Your power to everyone who is to come.
I have been young, and am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread. All the day long he deals graciously, and lends; and his seed is blessed.

And Jehovah came down in a cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit on him and gave it to the seventy elders. And it happened when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. But they never did so again.
But if a man hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him and rises up against him and strikes his life from him, so that he dies, and flees to one of these cities, then the elders of his city shall send and bring him away from there and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood so that he may die.
then shall the father of the girl, and her mother, take and bring tokens of the girl's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.
