You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people; With which your enemies have reproached, O LORD; with which they have reproached the footsteps of your anointed.
You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: my adversaries are all before you.

O LORD, you know: remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered rebuke.
And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure it:
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare your people, O LORD, and give not your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them: why should they say among the people, Where is their God?
I will gather them that are sorrowful for the appointed assembly, who are among you, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
