A joyful heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.

And Jehovah their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up upon his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.

A joyful heart promoteth healing; but a broken spirit drieth up the bones.

or service, let us occupy ourselves in service; or he that teaches, in teaching; or he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, in simplicity; he that leads, with diligence; he that shews mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:

Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms.

Rejoice, young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thine eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Wherefore be of good courage, men, for I believe God that thus it shall be, as it has been said to me.

And all taking courage, themselves also took food.
