And from that time began Jesus to acquaint his disciples, that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes; and be put to death, and be raised again on the third day.

And when they drew nigh to Jerusalem and were come to Bethphage at the mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying unto them, Go into the village over-against you, and ye will find directly an ass tied and a colt with her: loose them and bring them to me: and if any one say any thing to you, tell him the Lord hath need of them, and he will immediately send them.

And when they came near to Jerusalem, even to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, He sendeth two of his disciples, and saith to them, Go into the village over against you, and as soon as ye enter into it, ye will find a colt tied, on which no man hath yet sat; loose him, and bring him to me. And if any one say to you, Why do ye so? tell him, that the Lord hath need of it, and he will immediately send it hither.

And when He was nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, He sent two of his disciples, saying, Go into the opposite village, in which, at your entring, ye will find a colt tied, on which no man ever yet sat; loose him and bring him hither. And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, The Lord hath need of him.

And as Jesus went out, and was departing from the temple, his disciples came to observe to Him the magnificent buildings. But Jesus said unto them, Do ye see all these things? Verily I tell you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be demolished.

And as He was going out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to Him, Master, behold what fine stones are here, and what stately buildings! And Jesus answering said unto him, Thou seest these grand buildings: but there shall not be left one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down.

And as some were speaking of the temple; how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said, As for these things which ye see, the days will come, in which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be demolished.

When therefore ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing at the holy place, (let him, that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains: let not him that is at the top of the house come down into it, to take any thing out of his house;read more.
nor let him that is in the field return back to take his clothes. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days. Pray that your flight be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath: for there shall be then great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world unto this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days be shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. Then if any shall say to you, Behold here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not: for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall shew great signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Lo, I have told you before-hand: and therefore if they say to you,

And when ye shall see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh: then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains, and those that are in the midst of it, depart; and let not them that are in the countries enter into it. For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.read more.
But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people, and they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trampled down by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles too shall be fulfilled.

and as they were eating, He said, Verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me. And they were exceedingly grieved, and said to Him, every one of them, Lord, is it I? and He answered, he that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, even he will betray me.read more.
The Son of man is going indeed as it is written concerning Him: but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed; it had been good for him, if that man had never been born. And Judas, who betrayed Him, answered and said, Master, is it I? and He said unto him, \i It is.

But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.

Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily verily I tell thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.

Verily, verily I say unto thee, When thou wast younger, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst about where thou wouldest: but when thou art old, thou shalt stretch out thine hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee where thou wouldest not. This He said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had said this, He saith unto him, Follow me.
