8 Bible Verses about Compassion, In Christians

But be ye kind toward one another, merciful, forgiving one another, as indeed God in Christ forgave you.

Therefore, as elect of God, holy and beloved, put on affections of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation; the one comforting us in all our tribulation, in order that we may be able to comfort those in all tribulation, through the consolation with which we ourselves are comforted of God, because as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation through Christ also abounds.

And finally, all being like-minded, sympathetic, loving the brethren, merciful, humble:

Whosoever may have the sustenance of the world, and see his brother having need, and shut up his sympathies from him, how dwells the divine love of God in him?

I have shown you all things, that it so behooveth you laboring to assist the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

And some of whom indeed convict, being judged:

For you suffered along with the prisoners, and received with joy the spoliation of your goods, knowing that you have a better and abiding possession.
