Wherefore, it behooved Him in all things to be made like His brethren, that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people;
And, seeing her, the Lord was moved with compassion towards her, and said to her, "Weep not."
And Jesus, having called His disciples near, said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with Me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest haply they faint in the way."
And, stretching forth His hand, He touched him, saying, "I am willing. Be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
And, when it was evening, they brought to Him many demoniacs; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses."
And, seeing the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
And Jesus, coming forth, saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion over them, and healed their sick.

If a hundred sheep belong to a certain man, and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety and nine on the mountains, and, going, seek the straying one? And, if it happen that he find it, verily I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety and nine that have not gone astray.
And, moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and straightway they received sight; and followed Him.
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! that kills the prophets, and stones those sent to her! how often did I wish to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
And, coming forth, He saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

And some of them said, "Could not This Man, Who opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not die?" Jesus, therefore, again groaning in Himself, cometh to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying on it.
Jesus answered, "I told you that I am He; if, therefore, ye are seeking Me, permit these to go their way;" that the word might be fulfilled, which He spake, "Of those whom Thou hast given Me, I lost none."
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might become rich.
for we have not a High Priest, unable to sympathize with our infirmities, but One Who hath been tempted in all points like as we, apart from sin.
