Because knowing God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their reasonings, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image in the likeness of corruptible man, and of birds, and of four-footed creatures and reptiles.

And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness:

There is none that understandeth; there is none that seeketh after God. They have all turned aside; they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doth good, no not one.

Indeed then, when ye knew not God, ye served them that by nature are not gods.
